Socrates – Plaza – 1983
I really don’t know what to make of this album. There’s no doubt that I really like it. It was an injection of “swingy” music into my system, Kinda feels like a part rock, part disco, or funky jazz. There’s a lot of bass on it, and I don’t mean the frequency, which I’m usually not a big fan of. I’m talking about the instrument. There’s much of it and it’s emphasized. The melodies are good and I feel that I must explore more stuff by this band!
