Sarah of Horror Festival 2022

Sarah of horror festival

Background

I’ve known Sarah Giercksky aka Sarah of Horror for a few years now. I first came in contact with her when her movie Sargad was released in 2017. I reviewed it via an online screener and later felt I had to have an original DVD of the film. Maybe I should say that I’ve known of Sarah of Horror for these years. It’s not like we hang out or have ever met. We live miles apart for that matter. But I someway felt deep inside that we are connected because of common interest – Horror Movies! Anyway, she runs a Horror Channel on Youtube which you can check out HERE. There are reviews, movie hauls, and collection videos among other stuff. Earlier this year she also inspired me to go more on youtube and share my thoughts about movies or show off my collection. You can find my channel HERE. I think it’s safe to say that she’s kinda my role model when it comes to YouTube. I wouldn’t have published anything there if it weren’t for her encouragement.

A new Festival in Town

A few weeks ago she announced that she’d be running her own horror film festival this year. I thought this was a great initiative. This is something that’s really needed in the horror community. I know that there are loads of festivals out there. But I also know that Sarah of Horror is genuine and she doesn’t do anything half-hearted. This needs to be encouraged! I really hope that this will be an annual event and I already offered to help out as much as I can. Not that I know how the festival circus works because I’m not a filmmaker as Sarah is. She knows how it works and how to get it going. I’m just a mere critic with enough vocabulary to have public opinions about other people’s work.

I know I don’t have that much attention from the internet and that my site or channel has that many visitors but I do hope that I can help to spread the word a bit! I’m also happy to announce that I will be acting as a jury member at this festival. Not sure how it will take place yet but I’m really happy to be able to contribute something to the horror community. There will be a bunch of prizes and awards and there is a very low entry fee. You can read all about it HERE. So please don’t hesitate to submit your short- or feature film to this event. I SO look forward to it!

each time a comment is added I get several emails with the same comment.
Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Thanks a lot!
