Kiefer Sutherland – Bloor Street – 2022

Bloor Street

Bloor Street is the new album by Kiefer Sutherland. When I revied his first album Down in a Hole I was pretty impressed by his talent. I mean, I tend to see Kiefer as an actor first and a musical artist second. Well, the first thing I think is actually the son of Donald Sutherland but he sure has proved that he owns his own career. He’s probably most known for the TV series 24 these days but he’s done some classic movies too. The Lost Boys, Flatliners, Young Guns, and one of my favorite dystopian movies of all time – Dark City. But this is about his new album which of course is Country just like before. It’s his third album but I totally missed the second one. The first I liked quite a bit.

Bloor Street starts off pretty well, but it’s noticeable that he’s not really a full-time singer. Not bad at all but small nuances that give it away. But I would rather say that that is a strength than a weakness. It gets more personal if it’s not perfect all the time. But I can’t say that I get those same vibes as I did on the first album. I think it’ll grow on me though. When I’ve listened a few times to it I start to dig into the music more and more. It’s kinda uneven though. Some songs maybe shouldn’t have made the final cut.
