Kardinal Sin – S.A.L.I.G.I.A. – 2023

Kardinal Sin is a Swedish Power/Heavy Metal band and their latest album, S.A.L.I.G.I.A., is the first I hear with them. At least the first that I can remember or is conscious of hearing. You get to hear just about what you expect from the genre, noting more and nothing less. It tends to get a bit boring after a few songs and it’s quite monotone in the song structure and sound for me. There are a couple of exceptions of course. A few songs stick out from the general sound, such as the title track S.A.L.I.G.I.A., which is also my favorite song on the album. There are no real “hit” qualities although it’s very nicely performed and produced songs. These days you really have to reach through the static and do something extraordinary if you want to get discovered by the great masses and I feel lite Kardinal Sin doesn’t succeed with doing that on S.A.L.I.G.I.A. Let’s dig uå an older album and explore them further.
