Crashdiet – Automaton – 2022

Automaton is the sixth studio album by Swedish rockers Crashdiet. I have heard them before but only the occasional album. Generation Wild from 2010 I think. Lots of things has happened since then. Or maybe not so much, but that have at lest swapped vocalist since then. I like what I hear, it’s just as I want this kind of Glam Metal to sound. There are catchy melodies and some arrogant attitude (with tongue-in-cheek). It sound like party to me and that’s what I want Glam Metal to sound like.

If memory serves, and it does sometimes, I think I compared my previous encounter with the band with some reincarnation of Mötley Crüe. Crashdiet is still good though and I’m not aware of lawsuits to the left and right. There’s a good balance between faster songs and the ballad like tracks. There’s really not much more to say. Well, maybe you could argue that it’s boring since it’s the main Glam Metal formula all the time. But it’s not boring to me. In fact, quite the opposite!
